Holmes: Committing to quality education for Scottsdale

Posted

A commitment to the quality of our schools is a commitment to the overall quality of our community. And if we want to maintain quality schools, we must elect quality leaders who will ensure our public-school system delivers on its promise for all students.

All of us in the community who are qualified to vote have an opportunity every two years to elect individuals to the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board who will do that good work.

Unfortunately, we have not always gotten that right, and we have all seen the result in the headlines of our newspapers and news stations. Let’s get it right this time!

Julie Cieniawski is a career educator who is caring, qualified, and committed to the Scottsdale Unified School District. As a career educator myself, and someone who served in the district for 17 years, I will tell you Julie knows our schools, she knows our community, and she knows how to lead.

I have worked with her to navigate challenging issues and find her to be a problem solver who will always put students first.

Please join me in taking seriously our responsibility to elect quality leaders to the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board. Please join me in electing Julie Cieniawski.
