Live music, favorite menu items and enhanced safety and sanitation measures await patrons as Queen Creek Olive Mill reopens this weekend.
The Rea Family is taking precautions and following guidelines from the White House, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Arizona Department of Health Services to ensure the safety of staff and customers, according to a release.
In an effort to promote physical distancing, picnic tables are spaced 25 feet apart and inside dining and patio tables are spaced 6 feet apart.
Staff are required to wear gloves and masks when interacting with customers and sanitation stewards are disinfecting customer areas regularly.
“We are excited to reopen and welcome our patrons back. But there will be changes; health and safety is our main focus,” Perry Rea, owner of Queen Creek Olive Mill, 25062 S. Meridian Road, said in the release.
The business has olive oil tours, farm-to-table lunch and wine tastings in the grove.
Queen Creek Olive Mill was forced to reduce operations during the shelter-in-place orders.
Both the Queen Creek and Scottsdale location swapped their shelves for essential groceries and pivoted to curbside pick-up for customers. The Olive Mill’s OliveSpa donated hand salve and sanitizer products to ER doctors and nurses across Valley hospitals.
The Olive Mill is resuming normal business hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, and 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Opening weekend will feature live music, menus specials and sales across the store --- including 40% off wine, the release states.
