Queen Creek’s Economic Development team is celebrating today. The team is the winner of the Arizona Association for Economic Development’s 2020 Medium Organization of the Year Award.
The team is being recognized for “building strong relationships and community support, their overall impact to AAED and contributions to the economic development profession,” according to a press release.
“We have outstanding professionals on our economic development team,” stated Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney. “As a council, we are committed to a secure future for this community and economic development efforts are part of that foundation. This team has been instrumental in ongoing successes and continues to create strong paths for Queen Creek’s future.”
The entire team recently earned their MBAs through Benedictine University, the first cohort offered at the Queen Creek Communiversity. The team is led by Economic Development Director Doreen Cott.
