The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for periodic closures of US 60 Superstition Freeway between Country Club Road and Priest Drive overnight on Wednesday, Aug. 26, and Thursday, Aug. 27, for pavement repairs.

Westbound US 60 will be closed intermittently from 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, to 4 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27. Eastbound US 60 will be closed intermittently from 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, to 4 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, according to a release.

The freeway will be periodically closed in either direction for several minutes at a time. Drivers should anticipate delays and consider using alternate east/west routes, including the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway or Loop 202 Santan Freeway.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors, the release states.
