The opening of Rittenhouse Road is now anticipated for Sept. 11 due to delays from Union Pacific Railroad.
While the roadway portion of the work is complete, the work at the railroad crossing is anticipated to take an additional three weeks due to unexpected delays, according to a release.
Work at the railroad crossing can only be completed by Union Pacific Railroad and must be completed before the roadway can reopen.
The bridge over the Queen Creek Wash and associated work is complete. Rittenhouse Road will open to Cloud Road on Aug. 21 with the closure from Cloud Road to north of Riggs Road remaining in place until Sept. 11.
