From  the 10th Annual Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek Rodeo (March 12-15) at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre to "The Wizard of Oz" (March 16-20) at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center, there’s a lot going on in Queen Creek. Events include:

• TODDLER TIME: 9:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., March 10, 17 and 24 at the Queen Creek Library Mary Lou Fulton Story Time Room, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. Storytime for ages 18-36 months and caregivers who come to sing, move, listen and play in the program geared toward developmental stages. Tickets available in the library beginning at 11 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited to 50 participants.
• OPEN COURT PICKLEBALL: 10 a.m.-12 p.m., March 10, 17, 24 and 31 at Queen Creek Branch Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. Games are played to a score of 11 and are self officiated. Sign in on the day of and in person to be put in line. Game time is not guaranteed. Limited paddles and balls. Home paddles and balls are permitted. First come, first served.

• SAN TAN ARTISTS GUILD: The San Tan Artists Guild meets at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month, including March 10, at Gangplank, 22240 S Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek. The Guild has a mission is to support, encourage and promote the works of members by providing networking, training, workshops, lectures and show opportunities while building community with the arts. • TEEN ADVISORY GROUP: 4-5 p.m., March 12 at Queen Creek Branch Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. Teens interested in making new friends, being part of the library team and gaining leadership experience can join the library’s Teen Advisory Group and earn volunteer hours for planning and executing community service and teen programs. • EASE ON DOWN THE ROAD: March 16-20 at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center, 22149 E. Ocotillo Road. The Wizard of Oz is the beloved tale of a girl from Kansas who follows the yellow brick road to discover the magical power of home. Campers will bring this story to life in the classical Wizard of Oz and the soulful version in The Wiz, plus let’s explore how it all got started with a sprinkling of Wicked. Price: $135. • WRITERS STUDIO: 6-7 p.m., March 24 at Queen Creek Branch Library. Author, illustrator and biographer Vee F. Browne-Yellowhair addresses Writing Biography Children’s Books at the Writers Studio for children’s authors and illustrators aspiring to be a published picture book or juvenile author or illustrator. Monthly meetings offer visits from published authors, illustrators and publishing professionals with insights on the writing process and publishing world; peer critiques and workshops. The Landscape Watering By the Numbers class will teach how to properly water plants and grass in your landscape. Get hands-on experience by learning how to program an actual controller in class. • RECYCLE COOKING OIL: The Town of Queen Creek offers a free cooking-oil recycling program to collect used oil, which is used for turning into clean biodiesel fuel. The collection receptacle is available year-round at Fire Station 2, 24787 S. Sossaman Road.
