February events in Queen Creek include Pajamarama, Love Bug Dance, Art in the Olive Grove

From Pajamarama (Feb. 3) at the Queen Creek Library to the Love Bug Dance (Feb. 7) at the  Queen Creek Recreation Annex and Art in the Olive Grove (Feb. 16) at the Queen Creek Olive Mill, there’s a lot going on in Queen Creek.

Events include:

  • PAJAMARAMA: 6:45 p.m., Feb. 3 at the Queen Creek Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road, Mary Lou Fulton Story Time Room. The whole family is welcome PJs and meet for stories, music, movement, play, and more at this special evening storytime. Go to: queencreek.org.
  • TODDLER TIME: 9:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., Feb. 4, 11, 18 and 25 at the Queen Creek Library Mary Lou Fulton Story Time Room, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. Storytime for ages 18-36 months and caregivers who come to sing, move, listen and play in the program geared toward developmental stages. Tickets available in the library beginning at 11 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited to 50 participants.

  • SPECIAL NEEDS LEGO CLUB: 6-7:30 p.m., Feb. 5 at Queen Creek Branch Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. The Autism Society of Greater Phoenix presents Special Needs Lego Club. Come and play as Legos are provided for kids while parents supervise. This Lego Club is for special needs kids of all ages and their families. All ages are welcome. Meetings are free.   • PRESCHOOL STORYTIME: 9:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., Feb. 5, 12, 19 and 26 at the Queen Creek Library Mary Lou Fulton Story Time Room, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. Children ages 3-6 enjoy storytelling, story stretches, puppets, songs, rhymes, games, dancing, finger plays, and crafts. Tickets will be available in the library beginning at 9 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be limited to 50 total participants.

  • LOVE BUG DANCE: 6-8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 7, Queen Creek Recreation Annex. Dress in your best and dance the night away with your little Love Bug at this fun community event filled with music, games, crafts, and dancing. A light dinner will be served. Space is limited and pre-registration is required with a fee. Learn more here.
  • YARN FUN: 9 a.m.-noon, Feb. 7 at Queen Creek Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. Join Busy Hands Knit and Crochet Group to stitch for charities such as Wounded Warrior and Cardon’s Children’s Hospital.   • FREE TAX HELP: 1 p.m., Feb. 8-29 at Queen Creek Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road, Mary Lou Fulton Story Time Room. Trained volunteers with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide will offer free tax preparation to help anyone. Bring tax documents and file electronically on-site. Sessions are first-come, first-served.   • ART IN THE OLIVE GROVE: 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Feb. 16 at the Queen Creek Olive Mill, 25062 S. Meridian Road. The Artists of the Superstitions, a juried art group of award-winning artists, invite visitors to view and purchase fine art from members displaying their creations in glass, gourds, jewelry, painting, photography, pottery, woodworking and more. Crafted olive oil for sale in the gift shop, plus coffee, pizza and sandwiches. Admission to the show is free. Tour the Olive Mill for a fee. Visit: artistsofthesuperstitions.com

  • ENTREPRENEUR WEEK: Beginning Feb. 10 Apache Junction, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek and Tempe host the PHX East Valley Innovates’ Entrepreneur Week of inspiration, education and collaboration, Feb. 17– 22. A networking reception is from 5–7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10. Mingle with local businesses and entrepreneurs while enjoying complimentary appetizers at QuartHaus in Chandler. Teens interested in making new friends, being part of the library team and gaining leadership experience can join the library’s Teen Advisory Group and earn volunteer hours for planning and executing community service and teen programs.
