The Wednesday night farmers market in Peoria is no more.
Momma’s Organic Market, which hosts markets regularly all around the West Valley, announced the news about its Park West location, 9744 W. Northern Ave., on its Facebook page on Monday, Oct. 19.
“We are bummed to say it, but our Wednesday Night Markets at Park West didn’t work out and we had to cancel all further Wednesday nights for the season,” the post stated. “Our farmer couldn’t stay without the community support and without our farmer... we don’t have a farmers market. We really thought, based on the online response, that it would be a hit. We are sad that it wasn’t.”
Organizers were quick to add that markets will continue 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays outside Arrowhead Mall in Glendale, 7700 W. Arrowhead Towne Center; and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays in Surprise at Sterling Grove, 17193 W. Montpelier St.
The market is also are available 10 a.m.-1 p.m. every other Thursday (including Oct. 22) at 26501 W. Desert Vista Blvd., in Buckeye.
