Acura of Peoria donated vehicle sanitation services to police

Acura of Peoria, 9190 W. Bell Road, wants to protect those who protect us. So, in honor of the work the Peoria Police Department has done to serve the community, Acura of Peoria held a special vehicle sanitation event.

“During these difficult times, Acura of Peoria is happy to be able to do this to help our community and our first responders. This is just a small way for us to say thank you for their ongoing support,” Managing Partner/General Manager Brijen Dave said.

Dealership staff cleaned and disinfected Peoria Police Department’s vehicles using one of two methods:

•A pure steam clean with water that heats up to 230 degrees.

•The application of BIO-ZONE Anti-Microbial Protection. ZAK BIO-ZONE is an EPA-registered antimicrobial that provides a quick killing action, molecularly bonds to treated surfaces and keeps on killing for up to 30 days (durability and length of the coating depends on surface applies and amounts of friction on the surface). It kills 99.9% of bacterial and harmful microbes, instantly eliminating odor molecules in the air.

This exclusive event is the dealership’s way of saying thank you to first responders. They go to battle every day, and as the nation faces a new invisible enemy, our officers put themselves at even greater risk to protect us. By offering sanitation services, Acura of Peoria hopes to guard the safety of local heroes. In addition to the event, the store is offering these services free to the public.

“As we all battle against COVID-19, Acura of Peoria leapt into action to support our men and women in uniform, helping them to safely continue their work on the front lines,” said Mayor Cathy Carlat. “When times are tough, selfless acts of kindness give us a ray of hope and we are grateful for the thoughtful generosity of Acura of Peoria during this critical time.”
