Phoenix event venue provides full pay to employees during temporary closure

Posted

Chateau Luxe Event Venue announced that it is continuing full pay for employees while implementing measures to comply with state and CDC recommendations to do its part in reducing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event and hospitality industry as a whole is being battered with a tidal wave of cancellations from concerts and corporate galas, to weddings and other events due to COVID-19 in Arizona and worldwide.

Chateau Luxe is halting all events at its 50,000 square-foot facility located in north Phoenix and is temporarily closing its doors to the public amid the outbreak of the quickly spreading virus.

“These cancellations are having a ripple effect --- so many workers in this industry across the country who count on events for their livelihood are suddenly left with no work and no paycheck,” said Deepika Bhalla, owner and CEO at Chateau Luxe.

“We’re doing everything possible to support our employees and their families during this difficult time. We are all in this together, and are providing full pay to our staff that is not working due to COVID-19 outbreak for as long as possible. We hope this outbreak is over very soon, but in the meantime I hope that other companies will join us and support their employees as much as possible. Our hearts go out to those who have been affected.”

Chateau Luxe is an upscale event venue featuring space that accommodates corporate events, weddings, trade shows, and other events of up to 2,000 people in its indoor spaces complete with stunning crystal chandeliers and a separate outdoor event space that is the perfect blank canvas for any large function. hateau Luxe has won numerous awards since opening in 2015, most recently featured as Best Wedding Venue with Mountain Views in 2020, according to a press release.
