The Singletons will host the second annual Swing into Spring Social on Saturday, Feb. 22, bringing together current and former MLB players, local businesses and supporters to raise funds for The Singletons’ H.U.B. Project.

The H.U.B. Project is an initiative to expand The Singletons’ reach with the opening of the organization’s first family community center in 2020, according to a press release.

The Singletons are an Arizona nonprofit founded by Jody Farley that serves the needs of single-parent families battling cancer. The organization has provided monthly family style meals, bare necessities, and financial support to 1,000 families since 2006.

The Singletons’ H.U.B. will provide a safe place for families to connect with volunteers, counselors, and other members of the community for support and resources.

The H.U.B. will serve as the operational venue for all Singletons programs including educational classes in health and nutrition, small scale fundraisers and The Singletons Kitchen program which distributed over 2,352 meals by 250 volunteers last year.

Sponsored by Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Nevada Donor Network, OHSO Brewing Co. and the MLB Players Trust, the Swing into Spring Social will feature culinary tasting stations provided by Culinary Dropout and Blanco Tacos & Tequila, Sicilian Butcher and Sicilian Baker, artesian fry company Frite Street Fries and Chef Jay Perry.

VIP guests will enjoy a Gift Lounge sponsored by Macy’s, Drybar, Corcel Tequila, and Ludis Vita Lifestyle Management. There will be performances by country music artist Matt Koerner and DJ MTRDVSN of Black Book Social Club.

The second annual Swing into Spring Social will be 6-9 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, at a private residence in Paradise Valley. The cost is $125 for general admission, or $225 for a VIP ticket.
