J. Burr Shields and Michael J. Petitti, local employment attorneys, announces the opening of Shields Petitti at 5090 N. 40th St., Suite 207 in Phoenix.
The new law firm specializes in employment law and litigation for employers and employees and in mediation and arbitration of employment disputes, according to a press release.
Mr. Shields is a Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America honoree and was Best Lawyers’ 2016 Phoenix “Lawyer of the Year” for Labor and Employment Litigation.
He is also recognized by Chambers and Partners in Labor & Employment, the release said, adding that he received mediation training at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine School of Law.
Mr. Petitti’s practice emphasizes counseling employees and members of labor associations on their rights and responsibilities in disputes against current or former employers.
He is a Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers honoree and was Best Lawyers’ Phoenix “Lawyer of the Year” for Employment Law–Individuals (2017) and Union Labor Law (2019).
The firm’s attorneys also include Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” selectee Paige C. Pataky, the release added.
