Balloon designs lift neighbors up during pandemic

As far as the gorgeous and festive balloon arrangements that Olivia has put out, it’s been a joy to see the reaction of the increased number of people doing their daily walks. I see it puts a smile on many faces, especially children. And, it certainly is a wonderful gesture during this very difficult time.

Olivia Nowak, CEO of Olivia’s Balloon Creations in Phoenix, has been busy lifting her neighbors’ spirits during the recent pandemic.

While people are to remain in their homes, and abide by orders to social distance themselves from the public, with hopes of decreasing the likelihood of spreading the coronavirus, Ms. Nowak wants to “bring a little joy and light during this difficult time,” through her gift of balloon artistry.

“I have been decorating the outside of my home with balloon creations for neighbors to see and enjoy while they are taking their walks. There have been a few neighbors that have been taking photos of the rainbow balloon creation I posted outside,” Ms. Nowak said.

Nina Condit says the colorful arrangements are enjoyed by neighbors passing by.

“As far as the gorgeous and festive balloon arrangements that Olivia has put out, it’s been a joy to see the reaction of the increased number of people doing their daily walks. I see it puts a smile on many faces, especially children. And, it certainly is a wonderful gesture during this very difficult time,” said Ms. Condit.

Ms. Nowak planned to surprise her neighbors who have small children with an elaborate Easter balloon social distancing arrangement in front of their homes, she said, adding that it will make their day.

“On the business side, although it has been hit hard, there have been social distancing arrangements that I have made for birthdays, to brighten a day or to tell someone they are loved and deeply missed. And, I myself have been touched by the impact these deliveries have made to the recipients,” Ms. Nowak said.

“Mental health is something that is very real and it has been so amazing to see the light and joy it has brought the recipients of these social distancing balloon arrangements.”
