BASIS Mesa one of top 60 high schools in U.S.

One Mesa high school landed among the top in the country, cracking the list of the best 60 high schools in the U.S.

The list, released annually by U.S. News & World Report, ranks high schools around the country to determine the top ones.

BASIS Mesa, of BASIS Charter Schools Inc., is No. 55 in national rankings and No. 9 in Arizona rankings.

Mesa high schools in the top 100 for Arizona rankings — but upwards of No. 2,630 in national rankings — were:

  • Red Mountain High School, in the Mesa Unified School District, No. 42 in Arizona rankings and No. 2,630 in national rankings.
  • Mountain View High School, in the Mesa Unified School District, No. 50 in Arizona rankings and No. 3,101 in national rankings
  • Dobson High School, in the Mesa Unified School District, No. 98 in Arizona rankings and No. 5,909 in national rankings.
