A Goodyear woman and a 14-year-old boy were among two people killed in a three-vehicle crash in Glendale that sent two others to the hospital for treatment over the weekend.

According to the Glendale Police Department, 20-year-old Jadalynn Faith and the teenager, whose name and city of record will not be released because of his age, were passengers in a black sedan that was traveling west on Glendale Avenue between Glen Harbor Boulevard and El Mirage Road about 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, when it was rear-ended by another black sedan traveling at a high rate of speed.

A third vehicle that was traveling east on the roadway hit the vehicle carrying Ms. Pasion and the 14-year-old head-on, police said.

Ms. Pasion, who was in the front passenger seat, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 14-year-old, who was in the back seat, was transported to a Valley hospital, where he later died. The driver of their vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Valley hospital for treatment, police said.

The two occupants of the first vehicle remained on scene. A 29-year-old female was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The sole occupant of the third vehicle sustained minor injuries and was not transported.

Detectives from the department’s Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to the scene and determined that both speed and impairment appeared to be factors in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
