Great Hearts volunteers work to collect student belongings

Early end of the year meant staff had to clean out lockers

Posted

This month hundreds of students from Great Hearts Academies will be picking up the contents of their lockers, desks and cubbies after volunteers cleared and continue to clear out the schools.

The last of the school lockers were cleared up and the items were placed into individual bags, and those were then placed in each school’s large gymnasium for parents to come and pick up.

At each of the 22 Great Hearts schools around metro Phoenix, bags were organized by letter of last name of students for easy pick-up by parents. Parents were instructed to arrive on certain days of the week in order to collect the bags in a safe manner.
